Protecting your personal data is our top priority. This principle applies to our online services as well as our conventional services. Below we explain how we implement data protection requirements in our online services.

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes the type of web browser, operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, and the like. This information does not allow any conclusions about your person. It is technically necessary to deliver web content correctly and is inevitable when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us to optimize our website and the underlying technology.

The use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint or comparable disclosures—such as postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers as well as email addresses—by third parties for the purpose of sending information not expressly requested is not permitted. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action against senders of so-called spam emails in the event of violations of this prohibition.

Deletion or Blocking of Data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimization. We therefore store your personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided by the various retention periods specified by law. After the respective purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted routinely and in accordance with legal requirements.

Your Rights to Information, Rectification, Blocking, Deletion, and Objection

You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to rectification, blocking, or—apart from the mandatory data storage for business processing—deletion of your personal data.

For the data to be blocked at any time, these data must be kept in a lock file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data, unless there is a legal archiving obligation. As far as such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request. You can make changes or revoke consent by notifying us accordingly by email or telephone with effect for the future.

Specific Data Processing

Server Log Files

We, or our hosting provider, collect data on every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files) based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Access data include the name of the accessed web page, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type with version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address, and the requesting provider.

Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g., to clarify acts of abuse or fraud) for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data whose further retention is required for evidentiary purposes are excluded from deletion until the respective incident is finally clarified.

Online Presence in Social Media

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, prospects, and users active there and to inform them about our services. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and the data processing policies of their respective operators apply.

Unless otherwise specified in our privacy policy, we process the data of users if they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g., write posts on our online presences or send us messages.

Contact Form

If you contact us by email or contact form, the data you provide (name, email, telephone number) will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions. If you send us an email, we will use your email address only for correspondence with you; of course, it will not be disclosed to third parties.

The collection, processing, and use of your personal data is carried out confidentially and for specific purposes in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other statutory data protection regulations. The data is stored by us to the extent you have provided and deleted after the reason for your contact has been processed. You can revoke your consent at any time. Your stored personal data is protected in all systems against misuse and unauthorized access and is only accessible to certain authorized persons via user IDs and passwords. Security measures are continually adapted to technological progress.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. Through this we automatically receive certain data such as IP address, browser used, and operating system.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transmit viruses. The information contained in cookies can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our websites.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies in principle. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after you leave our site. Other cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
